In January of 2017, Simon Dufour, Antoine Rivard and Jonathan de Belle had a sense that the biggest improvement that could be made to virtual reality was to provide virtunauts with the ability to explore the world they were projected into. Although they were not the first to delve into this problem, they had a unique solution. They figured out a way to make a treadmill's movement almost imperceptible to a user in virtual reality. This innovation allowed them to create the first Aperium Pod that which makes use of this technology to keep the user from hitting any physical walls while enjoying a VR experience.
